ResponsABLE assistance

ResponsABLE assistance is a Not for Profit organisation run by volunteers to assist disabled people in disaster situations all over the world.

Since we were established in 2004 mobility and medical equipment has been sent out to Kashmir, Haiti, Uganda, Kenya and after the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal we got together over 3 tons of mobility and medical equipment which was flown to assist disabled survivors.

In 2013 we began our first solo overseas project in Kenya working with local Disabled Peoples Organisations to improve access to education, create employment opportunities and promote independence for disabled people.

Take a look at our website and you can check out our recent activities on Facebook.

We recently received a large donation of new mobility equipment which we will be sending to Kenya early in 2017. We desperately require funds to ship and distribute it. Much of the equipment is parts so that equipment can be assembled locally to suit the exact needs of individuals and cater for the local environmental differences.

We are based in Newport South Wales and welcome any donations of equipment, volunteers to work with us and of course financial donations to make things happen.

Below is a short film put together by volunteers Katie and Vaughan after their exploratory visit to Kenya in 2013.

You can also see a touching ITV Wales broadcast in which we got a mention 18 minutes and 50 seconds into here.
