Well this really IS the home of Innovation! For the second year in a row since the award category’s conception, all of the finalists of the Caerphilly Business Forum’s ‘Innovation Award’ are ICE members! #Result!

Bomper Studio, Service Tracker and Happus have all been selected as finalists for the Innovation Award at the 2015 Caerphilly Business Forum Awards. The ceremony will be hosted by BBC Wales TV presenter Jamie Owen at Bryn Meadows Spa Hotel on the 20th November.

The Innovation Award will recognise and reward an IT initiative that can demonstrate an innovative new product, solution or service that has delivered measurable benefit for business users or customers in areas such as application development, e-commerce, hosting, web performance, communications, or web-based services.

Bomper Studio have made the shortlist as a finalist for the second year in a row, missing out to fellow ICE member, Blackwood Embedded Solutions last year. Studio Manager, Lewis Williams said;

“To be finalists at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards is a privilege, especially alongside fantastic local businesses
proudly representing
Welsh ICE and South Wales. We’re honoured to be recognised for our commitment to innovation for a second year running, and an award win would be the perfect end to our best year of business to date.”

“We are honoured to be selected for this prestigious award and this will be the second time this year we have reached the finals in a similar award category. The support and recognition that we have received for our software as a service business solution in South Wales has been outstanding and we are very much looking
forward to the event and hopefully taking home the trophy this time!”

Managing Director of Happus, David Williams said;Managing Director of Happus David Williams (2)

“We’re delighted to have been short-listed for the Innovation Award. Happus is dedicated to bridging the digital divide – not only do we give our customers the means to access a host of benefits online, we are also partnered with services that focus on giving the digitally excluded the skills and information to utilise the power of technology.

“We aim to become the leading hardware and internet access provider to social, council and housing association tenants in the UK, and the recognition of the Caerphilly Business Forum will help us get our message out there. Internet access is a right, not a privilege.”

Bomper, Service Tracker and Happus will be joined by Marsha from Number Hub in the ‘Women in Business’ category and Cariann, Dean & Morgan (Wize Virtual Admin, Codez Academy & Healthcloud respectively) who are battling it out for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.

Congratulations and good luck everyone!
