We’re super excited to have been shortlisted for ‘Small Business of the Year’ at the Monmouthshire Business Awards.

This year’s awards have gone ‘back to the future’ with entries accepted from businesses in ‘Old Monmouthshire’  – towns and cities that were part of the county prior to 1965. This means that businesses based here in Caerphilly at Welsh ICE could apply for the awards which also covered Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran, Ebbw Vale and Usk.

As well as Welsh ICE being shortlisted for this award, we were also excited and proud to learn that four of the ICE members that we support here in Caerphilly, Emily Hicks Creative Design, Big Lemon Creative, Impact School Improvement and Help4Wales have all also been named finalists in the awards.

Community Manager, Jamie McGowan was excited to be recognised at these awards and said:

“We are delighted to be nominated for this award. It always feels a little strange to be recognised in this way as the great successes and amazing stories generated everyday by our members outshine anything ICE might achieve. With that in mind, to see so many Welsh ICE members nominated for awards feels really great, it’ll be quite the party!”

Welsh ICE has been shortlisted alongside Axis Chiropractic, King’s Financial Services and Miracle Workers.

The Monmouthshire Business Awards award ceremony will be held at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport on October 6th and the full shortlist can be found here. We can’t wait to have a good night out with our fellow nominees and ICE members. See you there!
