ICE members Big Lemon and NearMeNow have been shortlisted as finalists at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards!
Now in its sixth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards acknowledges the hard work and inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in Great Britain. The Awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs who have gone on to become household names.
Big Lemon were shortlisted in the Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year category for the second year in a row. Co-founder Owen Richards said:
“We’re absolutely made up to be shortlisted for the Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year award at GBEA. We were disappointed not to win at GBEA last year, so hopefully this is our year! It’s great to get recognition for our hard work and be nominated for such a prominent award. And we can’t wait to celebrate this one with the team! It’s always a fun evening.”
Meanwhile, NearMeNow have been named a finalist in the Start-up Entrepreneur category. Founder Vicky Mann said:
“I’m surprised and absolutely delighted to be nominated for the NatWest GBE Awards; an award ceremony that has recognised some great people and businesses over the years and saw two of the businesses I admire greatly, Spectrum Collections and Wonky Drinks achieve national success last year. It’s such an exciting time to be a start up in South Wales right now, with it currently being one of the strongest growth areas for start-ups in the UK.”
Welsh ICE Campus Director Jamie McGowan is also up for an award and has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Entrepreneur Champion of the Year category!
The black-tie Gala final is taking place in Cardiff on Thursday 22nd November at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel.
