Applications open for weekend and evening ICE Accelerator Programme!
21st July 2017
Do you have ambitions to start a business, to build a team and to trade beyond borders but struggle to find the time around your job or other commitments?
Budding entrepreneurs are being encouraged to apply for our pre-start Accelerator, following in the footsteps of several high-growth businesses who have now launched, as a result of the Programme. Our next cohort will aim to support new entrepreneurs who need support outside of usual office hours and will focus on evening and weekend workshops to fit around their busy lives.
The Pre-Start Accelerator is open to businesses across Wales that can outline an ambitious growth strategy, with the aim of creating at least 10 jobs and turning over £2m, in its first three years. Applicants will also be assisted in identifying opportunities in international markets, with the aim of generating 30% of their revenue through export.
Businesses accepted onto the Programme, will receive a range of exclusive and bespoke support services, including access to a network of investors and needs analysis driven masterclasses and workshops, from some of the most experienced and successful business specialists in Wales.
Founder of Near Me Now, Vicky Mann, praised the ICE Accelerator for providing the support and the structure needed to build a business and the environment needed for entrepreneurs to feed off each other.
“The interaction has been invaluable. People from totally different backgrounds are adding value to my business and vice versa. We’re all part of each others boards and our board meetings are amazing. The support is exemplary and tailored to our individual needs.”
Tendertec is another pre start company to benefit from the ICE Accelerator, co-founder Afroditi-Maria Konidari said:
“Joining the ICE Accelerator pushed us out of our comfort zone in order to pivot and grow in ways we had never anticipated.”
Mandy Weston, COO at Welsh ICE added:
“Gaining entry to the Accelerator Programme is tough and proving that you are capable of creating a minimum of 10 jobs and turning over £2m, in your first three years, is no mean feat.
“This Programme has shown how, with the right idea, motivation and support, pre-start companies can progress toward bigger things. We would encourage anyone who feels they have a burgeoning desire to start a business to get in touch and talk to us.”
The deadline to apply for our next cohort is the 31st of July. For more information or support regarding applications you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 029 2014 0040.
