Last Friday saw the Winners of the 2018 Caerphilly Business Forum Awards announced, in a ceremony attended by almost 300 guests, hosted by BBC Wales news anchor Jamie Owen and held at the Llechwen Hall Hotel.
ICE member Big Lemon were among those shortlisted and were named Creative & Digital Business of the Year for the second year running!
Big Lemon is an app and web agency with a fresh outlook on creativity. They work as an extension of their clients organisations offering creative solutions for every day business problems. The team had also been up for Welsh ICE Business of the Year but missed out to fellow member Weird Triangle.
Director Kieran Abbott said:
“It’s been great to be shortlisted once again, but to take this award for a second year is amazing recognition for the hard work and results we’re achieving for our clients and partners throughout 2018.”
This Creative & Digital Business of the Year Award recognises those businesses in Caerphilly that are operating in the highly important creative and digital sectors. The judges were looking for creative and digital companies that have achieved growth and strong financial performance through innovation, exceptional customer experience and are focused on future business success. Also shortlisted for this award were fellow ICE members Datris and GreenNova Productions.
Forum Chairwoman Denise Lovering, said:
“We are continually stunned by the quality of entrants these awards have received year after year, and yet again the judging panel have faced a very difficult task in deciding who the winners will be.
“Each business shortlisted can be extremely proud of their achievements. Their hard work has clearly paid dividends and it is thanks to the businesses and individuals represented at these awards that our region continues to serve as an economic beacon for the whole of Wales.
“On a personal, this year was my last as head of the forum. It has been a true privilege to serve the Caerphilly business community and I look forward to seeing the Forum continue its great work in the years to come.”
