Codez Academy is ‘Highly Commended’
2nd March 2016
National Coding Week saw over 100 events and 1000 people getting involved. The awards recognise the commitment to supporting those in each local community who want to take the first steps in building their confidence and digital skills.
Awards presented in 2016 include all those who gained recognition for the following statuses: Commended, Highly Commended and Winner.
Codez Academy were said to have had a clear strategy for National Coding Week which was to offer a week of free web-coding sessions in order to raise awareness of not only the need for digital skills in the UK economy, but to show people that anyone can get involved. They utilised social media to raise awareness and advertise the free sessions and had good attendance throughout the week.
“What was very pleasing was that Dean Jenkins the Founder of Codez Academy had a strong commitment to offer free workshops and to support digital skills within the community even after National Coding Week had finished.”
This comes not long after director, Dean Jenkins, won Entrepreneur of the Year at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards last year!
