Double win for Welsh ICE

24th November 2014

It’s a double win for ICE this year at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards as two of our members win in their categories. XIBO took home the award for Business of the Year with (just) under 25 employees while Blackwood Embedded Solutions fought off competition from fellow ICE members Noddlepod and Bomper Studio for the brand new Innovation Award.

XIBO is the premier marketing company for some of the world’s largest conference companies.

CEO Joe Miles said:

“It’s an honour to win CBF Company of the Year 2014. It was won through the hard work of some fantastic people at XIBO. It’s a privilege to work within such an elite team and I hope I don’t mess up what they’re achieving!”

-Joe Miles, XIBO

Despite losing out to Xibo in the Business of the Year, Blackwood Embedded Solutions came away with the first ever CBF Innovation Award, beating stiff competition from Noddlepod and Bomper Studio. The company specialises in real-time embedded design and can provide consultancy in both software and hardware.

Managing Director Anthony Giles said:

“As a Company providing design services we are absolutely delighted to win this Innovation Award.

Thanks also to the tough competition from other finalists for the Innovation Award, Bomper Studio and Noddlepod, and congratulations to Xibo on winning the Business of the Year (under 25 employees).

With two winners and so many other finalists from Welsg ICE this also shows the good work being done at Britannia House.”
