Well we’ve decided to try and go one better this year as both Gareth and our Chief of Operations Mandy Weston have been shortlisted and will be going head to head against three other finalists to defend the Welsh ICE title.

The Entrepreneur Wales Awards celebrates the hard work and inspiring stories of Welsh entrepreneurs and businesses in Wales. The entrepreneurs’ champion is a person or organisation who works to help entrepreneurs be successful. Through nurturing entrepreneurs, they will be distinguished by their insight, reach and success stories. But most importantly, they are set apart by the example they set through their own actions and the unwavering support they offer.

On being shortlisted, defending champion, Gareth said-

Winning the inaugural Entrepreneurs’ Champion award at last year’s Entrepreneur Wales Awards was incredibly humbling and helped cap off a great year for us at ICE. That event has acted as a catalyst and inspired a range of new initiatives over the course of this year to ensure we as ICE cement our status as the champion for founders in Wales. There are a great deal of organisations and partners who help make this possible, it feels like an exciting time for entrepreneurs in Wales.

Mandy added-

It’s a huge honour to be shortlisted, representing Welsh ICE alongside defending champion, Gareth. It’s been a whirlwind year for entrepreneurs in Wales and it’s always rewarding to see efforts recognised at events such as the Entrepreneur Wales Awards. I’m also thrilled to be part of a rising number of recognised women in business and it’s great to see so many female entrepreneurs at these awards.”

The 2016 Entrepreneur Wales Awards will culminate in a gathering of over 300 entrepreneurial finalists, industry expert judges and powering sponsors and partners at the Principality Stadium, Wednesday 9th November. We’ll see you there!
