The exciting opportunity has come up to join the ICE team. We are currently recruiting for, not one, but two new positions in the organisation.

We are on the hunt for awesome people to fill the following two posts –

Community Manager

Digital Marketing Assistant

Both roles require a person who gets a thrill from seeing people succeed and grow. These roles will see you join a small, but phenomenally skilled team who have each other’s backs and are obsessed with making ICE the best organisation it can be. We are looking for a person who will thrive in being part of a community and will be open and giving in making that community thrive. We need someone to join the team who puts fun at the heart of everything they do, because if it’s not fun, it’s not worth it, right?

Both roles are headquartered at our Campus in Caerphilly but may require some travel and occasional working from home.

Community Manager

Are you a natural host, a keen listener and a connecter? Do you have a keen eye for detail and the passion to make people feel welcome? Come and chat to us! You might not know it all yet, but you will have a thirst for knowledge and be open to learn all about how to support early-stage entrepreneurs to grow and develop, and the international trends across the global start-up world. You will be responsible for the following.

You will live and breath the good work that ICE does and have the uncanny knack to convince people to join us in what we do. A good commercial mindset is key, as is the ability to close a deal that works for every party involved. You will ultimately be responsible for the day to day running of our Campus in Caerphilly, so a passion for creating comfortable, welcoming and supportive spaces would be helpful.  You must tick some or all of these boxes.

  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the workings of local and national government
  • Ability to close deals and build genuine relationships
  • Good knowledge of the Entrepreneurial Support landscape
  • Ability to work on own initiative and self motivate
  • Ability to work under pressure and to consistently hit targets.
  • Welsh Speak (non-essential)
  • Own car and clean drivers licence

This role is for an immediate start and is a permanent role. This role is full time (37.5 hours a week). ICE offers good holiday schemes, an incredible working environment and the opportunity to grow and learn on a daily basis. The salary for this role is between £25,000 and £30,000 p/a depending on experience.

There is no predefined career path for this role, what’s important is the attitude and energy you bring with you. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and walks of life.

To apply please create a slide-deck or presentation about your self. We want to know about you, your working experience and any life experiences that have shaped you. We know that people are much more than a list of jobs on a word document.

Email [email protected] to submit an application or for a more fleshed out job description.

Applications for this role close on Sunday 16th August at midnight.

Good luck!
