ICE members Four Minutes and NearMeNow have made it through to the next round at Pitch@Palace 10.0 On Tour at Wrexham yesterday on the 11 July.

Pitch@Palace was founded by the Duke of York in 2014 as a platform to amplify and accelerate the work of entrepreneurs across the UK. The programme connects entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses with potential supporters, including CEOs, influencers, investors, mentors and business partners.

After a vote from the audience and judges, three entrepreneurs out of the seventeen presenting were selected for Pitch@Palace 10.0 Boot Camp at the University of Cambridge on 4 October, 2018 including Four Minutes and NearMeNow.

 

Campus Director Jamie McGowan was in attendance at the Wrexham Enterprise Hub where the event was held. He said:

“The whole team at the Wrexham Hub should be congratulated for bring such a high profile event to the town of Wrexham. The energy, ideas and enthusiasm in the room was incredible and the pitches showed amazing solutions for real world problems. The fact that two Welsh ICE based businesses won the event is marker for the important role that Enterprise Hubs play in signposting and opening up opportunity’s to budding entrepreneurs in Wales.”

 

 

Director of Four Minutes, Fotini Teneketzi was thrilled to go through to the next round. Four Minutes first aid provide local courses at a range of venues across South Wales and at their venue in Welsh ICE.

Fotini said:

“What an amazing and daunting experience it was today meeting HRH The Duke of York and getting to pitch our new Mixed Reality first aid training technology to an audience of more than 100! We were already very pleased to have been selected to Pitch@Palace Wrexham but then to be voted one of the winners was mind blowing. We look forward to pitching at Buckingham Palace later this year! A big thank you to all at Welsh ICE for the great support we’ve received over the past year.”

 

 

NearMeNow is an innovative new digital high street app designed to revive, adapt and diversify high streets across the country. CEO Vicky Mann said:
