RecRock launch Active Inclusion Project with WCVA Funding

RecRock have received funding for an Active Inclusion Project from the WCVA (Wales Council for Voluntary Action)!
They are looking for unemployed people from Caerphilly aged 16-24, not in education, employment or training to undertake an 8 week course. The project will take place here in Caerphilly Business Park.
RecRock will be working towards a level 2 qualification through exciting music based activities! No experience is necessary, and you don’t have to perform if you don’t want to.
The course will include:
– Putting on a gig
– Learning to play an instrument
– Writing and recording songs
– Designing posters
– Making new friends
– Exploring different career opportunities and volunteering
– Learning about yourself
– Building your confidence
RecRock is a Welsh ICE based social enterprise who run music related projects in the community. If you have a group of people who are interested in music, they can work with them to put on an event, gain a qualification, play instruments and most of all have fun.
They also work with primary and secondary schools, mental health projects, housing associations, youth projects, learning and physical disabled, young offenders, pupil referral units, Job Centre Plus and many more! Their workshops and approach to working with people are proven to improve people’s confidence, self esteem and communication skills.
