Welsh ICE Open Day: Business Advice Expo & Adobe InDesign Workshop

Welsh ICE Open Day: Business Advice Expo & Adobe InDesign Workshop

28th August 2019

Rachel Harris

Welsh ICE is teaming up with our partners to deliver our next Open Day on the 24th of September!

Starting a business is hard. We’re pretty fortunate in Wales to have a number of really great organisations who can support you through the different stages of running a business but travelling around to see them all can be time consuming- time you may not have to spare.

That’s why every two months, Welsh ICE brings all these people together in one place at our Hub in Caerphilly so that you can see them all in one go.

Focusing on business support and training we break our Open Day into two segments; a free drop-in business advice surgery and a cyber security workshop.

PLUS- once more, we’re offering free coworking all day! So if you’re looking for a new, creative space to work on your project, freelance work or business then this is a great opportunity to check out if Welsh ICE is a good fit for you.  Email iceangels@welshice.org to secure your desk.

Advice Business Expo 10am-12pm

If you need advice on how to start, grow or improve your business, our advice clinic is the place for you! From 10-12pm we’ll bring together all the people you need to see in one room. Our exhibitors can help you wherever you are on your business journey.

Exhibitors include:

Adobe InDesign: The Basics 1pm – 3pm

Learn the basics of using Adobe InDesign!

InDesign is used for creating flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, and books. It’s great for graphic designers, artists, publishers, and marketing professionals. In this workshop, we’ll be learning how to create effective layouts, how to style typography correctly and how to get files ready for print.

Speaker: Emily Hicks, Studio Hicks
