Symptoms and self-isolating
The main symptoms of coronavirus are:
Track and Trace App
This is mandatory to download and use if you are attending site. If you do not have a smartphone you must sign in at reception so that if there is an outbreak you can be notified to self-isolate if you were in on the same day. This way you’re notified asap if someone on-site contracts COVID19. You can download the app here.
Arriving at ICE Reception
We have fitted screens surrounding our lovely reception team (they’re not mad at us honest!) and we wear masks when moving around the building. You are able to sanitise your hands in 3 different points in reception that are all socially distanced.
We have antiviral wipes at the self-service royal mail franking machine and the printer. We also have friendly reminders to keep your mask on at all these stations.
We have introduced an easy to follow system with directional floor markings and new signs. This creates a safe flow of movement and means you don’t have to worry about bumping into anyone in the smaller spaces around the building, like the corridors.
We have put hand sanitizing stations around ICE close to all touchpoints and these are topped up daily by our cleaning staff. There is a one-in one-out policy in the toilets so you have ample space to wash your hands and use the facilities with zero interaction with other people. There are locks fitted to the outer doors and markers for queueing. (A whole bathroom to yourself! What luxury!)
We’ve placed antiviral surface wipes at our workstations and coffee stations so you can wipe everything down after you’ve touched anything or once you leave for the day.
Our meeting rooms are thoroughly cleaned before and after use. At the end of the working day our cleaning team deep clean all touch points and surfaces.
Travel to Work
When travelling to ICE we encourage those that can cycle or walk to do so. If you are driving, you should not share lifts with people from separate households. If you need to use public transport avoid touching anything at ICE until you’ve washed your hands by using the closest entrance to the toilets or one of the many hand sanitising stations.
If you have a visitor to ICE please make sure you share all COVID FAQ’s and information with them so they’re prepared when they arrive at site. We’ll give them our usual warm welcome from behind the screens! You can book any of our meeting rooms using the booking system.
Eating, Drinking and the Kitchens
The communal kitchens are available with our handy “How to make a COVID cuppa” guide. We encourage you to use Calon restaurant and then bring your food back to your desk to eat. If you’re bringing your own food to ICE the kitchens are open but have a strict one in one out system. Once your food is microwaved please wipe down all surfaces and use the bins provided. There must be no gatherings for lunch in the coworking space, but we can chat from 2 meters apart.
You must identify cars that are currently parking and avoid parking near these cars. Do your best to leave spaces so that physical distancing can be adhered to where possible.
Using the coworking space
Colab is open for you to book to come and use. The coworking space is the largest space on-site and is very well ventilated and cleaned daily. We have hand sanitisers and antiviral wipes on all banks of desks for you. The desks are booked ahead of time by using our booking system. This will ensure that only 11 people at most are using the space. We’ve even staggered everyones arrival so there won’t be too much traffic getting around ICE when you arrive.
We hope that this will put your mind at ease and that we will be seeing you for a socially distanced wave and mask covered smile soon!
