This summer, Facebook has been taken over by clips of friends and relatives of all ages soaking themselves with ice cold water to raise awareness and much needed donations for a very, very important cause.

ALS, or as we know it Motor Neuron Disease, is a tragic, debilitating condition which, a straw poll in the office suggests, affects far more close people to us than we realise. To learn more, I’d recommend the following articles.

To prevent the cause losing impact and going the way of the Harlem Shake and Gangnam Style, we thought it would be fun to have a ‘closing ceremony’ at the end of this week to celebrate the summer of ice buckets and awareness-raising for such an important cause.

On Friday morning, at 10:30, we will be gathering everyone together who hasn’t yet completed the challenge for a mass soaking in the name of fundraising for ALS – a campaign that has so far raised a staggering £48million for ALS and Motor Neurone Disease charities.  We are choosing to support MNDA and would encourage any donations to the cause by visiting the MNDA Just Giving page and doing what you can.

If you haven’t already completed the challenge, this is YOUR nomination!  Come along, bring a towel and a change of clothes, we have showers on site but there might be a bit of a queue immediately afterwards.  If you want to come along, give us a quick call and we’ll make sure we have a bucket ready!
