Welsh ICE are proud to announce the appointment of Steve Burt as our new Chairman. This appointment marks a significant milestone for us as we continue to expand our footprint and impact within the Welsh business ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Burt brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Welsh business landscape to his new role. Having qualified with PriceWaterhouse in Cardiff, Steve has amassed extensive experience working with both corporate giants and budding startups across various industries in South Wales. He has been an integral part of the Welsh ICE community and board for many years as the Finance Director, championing the development of its dynamic leadership team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his appointment as Chairman, Steve is poised to oversee the next phase of Welsh ICE’s evolution, guiding our efforts to diversify and expand across Wales, and beyond. His primary focus will be to support CEO, Lesley Williams, and the team as we strengthen existing partnerships, forge new ones, and enhance our accessible training programmes and business support services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’d also like top pay tribute to our previous Chairman, Anthony Record MBE, the founder and majority shareholder. Anthony’s dedication to nurturing the startup scene in Wales has been instrumental in shaping our journey thus far. We are profoundly grateful for his vision and leadership, which laid the foundation for our growth and impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthony Record MBE shared his thoughts on the transition, stating, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It fills me with immense pride to witness the growth and evolution of Welsh ICE over the years. As I pass the torch to Steve Burt, I am confident that his leadership will steer Welsh ICE to even greater heights. I remain deeply committed to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Wales and beyond.”<\/p>\nanthony record, founder<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In line with our commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, Welsh ICE has recently collaborated with Caerphilly Council and Ffos Caerffili to offer pop-up shop opportunities to local entrepreneurs<\/a>, providing them with a platform to test trade on the high street.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, we have expanded our team with the addition of three training coordinators, a marketing assistant, and a finance and admin manager, in response to recent contract awards across Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Welsh ICE embarks on this new chapter under Steve and Lesley\u2019s stewardship, we remain dedicated to our mission of creating connected communities, delivering exceptional coworking facilities, business support, and training to entrepreneurs across Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
