Marketing Specialist

\ud83d\udccd Location: <\/strong>Caerphilly (with travel to other locations such as Newport)
\ud83d\udd52 Contract:<\/strong> Fixed-term (6 months with ambition to extend)

\ud83c\udf08 Hours: <\/strong>Full-time, 37.5 hours per week \u2013 with flexibility baked in.

As our Marketing Specialist, you\u2019ll play a key role in connecting our message with the people who need to hear it most, whether that\u2019s entrepreneurs, community partners, or course participants. You\u2019ll help deliver meaningful campaigns, grow our digital presence, and ensure everything we put out reflects our purpose, energy, and values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll also occasionally support the wider team by covering roles such as the reception desk and helping uphold our hub standards\u2014making sure our spaces stay welcoming, professional, and well-organised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udcbc What You\u2019ll Be Doing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2714\ufe0f Support the Marketing Manager to deliver creative campaigns and keep projects on track.
\u2714\ufe0f Create engaging digital content\u2014from social posts and graphics to newsletters and videos.
\u2714\ufe0f Grow and manage our social media presence across platforms, responding to trends and community conversations.
\u2714\ufe0f Promote our programmes, events, and services via social media, email, Eventbrite, and our website.
\u2714\ufe0f Maintain and update our website content to ensure it\u2019s clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
\u2714\ufe0f Conduct market research and trend monitoring to inform content and marketing strategy.
\u2714\ufe0f Manage mailing lists and send out regular newsletters using tools like Mailchimp.
\u2714\ufe0f Assist with basic marketing admin, including inbox monitoring and scheduling posts.
\u2714\ufe0f Help cover reception duties and support hub operations, ensuring the space stays welcoming and professional.
\u2714\ufe0f Uphold brand standards and ensure all content reflects our values and tone of voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705 A background in marketing, content creation, or a related field.
\u2705 Strong communication skills: you\u2019re confident writing, editing, and presenting ideas.
\u2705 A great eye for design and detail: comfortable using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
\u2705 Digitally savvy and experienced with platforms like social media schedulers, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and CMS tools.
\u2705 Organised and methodical: you can juggle multiple projects and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
\u2705 Curious and creative: you spot trends, try new ideas, and love experimenting with content.
\u2705 Interest or knowledge in SEO, PPC, or digital advertising would be a bonus.
\u2705 A collaborative team player who brings positive energy and a flexible, can-do attitude.
\u2705 Passion for community and inclusive business support, whether you\u2019re based in Caerphilly or working remotely.
