Help4Wales have scooped the New Business Start-Up Award at the Monmouthshire Business Awards! The competitive category saw the team beat fellow finalists HMO Heaven and Horton’s Coffee House to the title.
This year’s awards were expanded to cover the ‘old Monmouthshire’ – towns and cities that were part of the county prior to 1965.
The ‘back to the future’ approach opened the awards to entries from businesses beyond the current Monmouthshire county to Newport, Caerleon, Cwmbran, Ebbw Vale and Caerphilly.
Founder Jemma Shepherd was overwhelmed by the win and said:
“This is a major achievement for us and I would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank the judges for thinking we deserve this award, Keiran and my hard working team including volunteers and fosterers. Without their help and support I wouldn’t be where I am now.”
Other finalists from Welsh ICE included, Emily Hicks Creative Design, Big Lemon Creative and Impact School Improvement.
Welsh ICE Community Manager, Jamie McGowan said:
“It was fantastic to see so many of our members recognised as finalists at the awards and we’re absolutely thrilled for Jemma and her amazing team at Help4Wales Foundation for scooping New Business Start-Up. A wonderful individual and a business doing vital work.”
