ICE is an organisation based in Caerphilly dedicated to helping people across the UK start and grow their own businesses.

One of our biggest objectives is to grow the reach of our digital programmes to communities all across the UK. We run accelerators, hacks and workshops to help communities realise their true potential through enterprise. We work with a handful of incredible partners across Wales and in 2021 we plan to work with stacks more.

We’ve seen the genuine changes the 5-9 club can make on peoples lives and with our new online platform, we can now reach far beyond our Caerphilly HQ. To help us reach these goals we are offering a rare opportunity to join the ICE team as our new Business Development Manager.

The responsibilities for the new job role are based on three key areas of focus:

You will be an experienced sales professional who gets a kick from hunting for leads, winning over organisations and closing deals. You will live and breath ICE and be passionate about our programmes and the impact they can make on communities. You will be charismatic and know how to win people over, you will also thrive in building relationships and be obsessed with using feedback to improve our products.

Your HQ will be the ICE Campus in Caerphilly, but this role will facilitate national campaigns, as a result we welcome applications from candidates who would prefer to work from home.

ICE recruits, employs, trains and promotes regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, sex, disability, age, gender identity and/or expression, or any other protected status. ICE are dedicated to nurturing an inclusive environment where employees can bring their full selves to work.

This is a customer facing role and your natural love of networking and building relationships will shine through. You willl be self motivated, be able to manage your own diary and ultimately be held accountable by your results. You will ideally have a track record in business development or sales. A knowledge of selling to local authorities, government and public sector is desirable.

The salary for this post will be between £25,000 – £28,500 dependant on experience and the role is a full-time position, this position comes with an uncapped commission scheme in addition to the salary.
