ICE members Wize Virtual Admin, Tree Top Films and The Number Hub have all been shortlisted as finalists at the Entrepreneur Wales Awards! This comes after news that both Gareth Jones and Mandy Weston (CEO and COO of ICE respectively) have been selected as finalists in the Champion Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The Entrepreneur Wales Awards celebrates the hard work and inspiring stories of Welsh entrepreneurs and businesses in Wales.
Managing director of Wize Virtual Admin, Cariann Emanuelli is no stranger to the Entrepreneur Wales Awards having been a finalist in the Service Industries category last year.
This time, she’s been shortlisted as Young Entrepreneur of the Year an award which will be given to an entrepreneur who has gained exceptional achievements for their age. They will be able to provide details of their journey to success including overcoming obstacles and identifying new opportunities, this entrepreneur should be an inspiration for other young entrepreneurs. Wize Virtual Admin is a team of virtual assistants who offer a range of services including call answering, bookkeeping, social media management, graphic design and general pa tasks. Cariann said:

Founder and director of Tree Top Films, Owain Hopkins has been shortlisted for Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year. This award will be given to an entrepreneur at the helm of a small business of under 50 employees.
The entrepreneur will have examples that show their resilience and fortitude in overcoming obstacles and difficulties to ensure a secure and growing success. Tree Top Films are a group of professional video makers, specialising in promotional, corporate and business videos for advertising, TV, commercial and web content. On being shortlisted, Owain said:
“I’m honoured to be one of the nominees for the small business entrepreneur award this year. It’s the first time Tree Top Films has been recognised for something like this and I couldn’t be more proud.”
Founder of the Number Hub, Marsha Ward has been shortlisted in the Micro Business Entrepreneur of the Year award. Defined with fewer than 10 employees, micro businesses are a vitally important contributor to the Welsh economy, contributing nearly 20% to UK turnover.
Amongst the 4.5 million micro businesses, this entrepreneur has become distinguished by creating a business marked by it’s ability to flourish regardless of size; this entrepreneur possesses a flair for spotting opportunities in their chosen niche market. The Number Hub offers a fresh and modern approach to accountancy, offering a full range of business and professional services to cater for all company sizes. Marsha said:
“I am over the moon to be selected as a finalist for this award. We have an excellent work ethos in our business that has translated into tangible results. Hopefully this will raise the profile of alternative working practices, encouraging other employers to follow suit.”
The 2016 Entrepreneur Wales Awards will culminate in a gathering of over 300 entrepreneurial finalists, industry expert judges and powering sponsors and partners at the Principality Stadium, Wednesday 9th November.
