Congratulations to Simon Collins of Paperclip Public & Media Relations who has made the CIPR PRide Awards shortlist in both the ‘Outstanding Young Communicator’ and Outstanding Independent Practitioner categories!
The CIPR PRide Awards recognise the outstanding work being delivered by PR professionals for their clients and employers across the UK.
Winning a PRide Award marks you out as an industry leader in your area, boosts team morale and demonstrates the value of PR to the wider business world.
Winners, selected by the team of leading industry experts, are awarded at glittering UK-wide award ceremonies – a major calendar highlight for all involved.
On being shortlisted, Director of Paperclip Public & Media Relations Simon said:
“July marks one year of starting Paperclip Public & Media Relations and it’s gone pretty fast! I’ve met some amazing people and worked with some fantastic clients, so to have been shortlisted for these awards is the icing on the cake. I first found out about ICE while I was working as a broadcast journalist at a community radio station when I interviewed this bloke called Gareth – a few of you might remember him… Ever since that first conversation across the airwaves of GTFM (Pontypridd’s best FM radio station!) ICE has always been a warm and friendly place.
“I don’t really market myself at all, as my clients have come from natural networking at ICE or through word of mouth, so it feels a bit odd to be up for some awards myself. The CIPR is the professional body for public relations in the UK, and there are some great companies and individuals up for the Welsh regional awards. It’s a real privilege to be shortlisted alongside them.”
The Awards will be held on the 12th of October at City Hall in Cathays Park. You can view the full shortlist here.
