Here at ICE, we believe everyone is unique and as an extension of that.. so is their desk! We’ve decided to showcase one members desk each week to highlight both the differences and similarities that make ICE such a diverse place to work!

My Desk at ICE – Rose-Innes Designs

ICE member & company details

Rose-Innes Designs. We’ve been based at ICE since summer of 2012.

What do you do?

We’re a multi-disciplinary design agency that specialises in the design of brands. As a part of our service offer we design for web, packaging, publications and marketing literature. We also are involved in the design of services and user friendly business development, which compliments brand development as well as being a bespoke consultancy offering.

Which room are you in?

We’re based over at the Lodge – room 22. This is our design studio where the magic happens! We also have a meeting room at the other end of the Lodge where we gather for brain storming sessions and client workshops.

What’s the current status of your desk? Is it neat & tidy or ‘organised chaos’?

Organised chaos, like our minds! Everything has its place though.

Mac or PC?

Mac all the way.

What other hardware do you use?

Sharpies, HB pencils, post-it notes, all the proper tools for a designer.

What software do you use?

We use the Adobe Creative Suite, so, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for our design work. We also use Office for Mac for the usual office type stuff!

What’s your drink of choice while working?

Anything caffeinated. We all run off copious cups of coffee and tea. Usually about 5 before 11am! We do try to keep hydrated with water as well to keep the brain working up to speed.

Do you listen to music while you work? If so, what?

We use Spotify and create playlists depending on our mood. Every Friday we make time for Eddie Murphy, Party all the Time to get us in the mood for the weekend.

What personal/professional keepsakes do you keep on your desk?

We have a collection of, um, restaurant menus that have found their way onto our inspiration board.

What about toys or fun stuff?

The odd juggling ball. Comes in handy.

What’s your favourite thing about your desk?

The light is really great in our office for what we do. If we look out to the right we can see over to the lovely Rudry forestry, a great view to clear the mind!
