ICE member, Help4Wales Foundation, is asking people to send photos of their furry, feathery and scaly friends as part of a week long competition. Winners will be photographed and have their images used in a project to support victims of domestic abuse.

The contest opens on Monday 1st August when owners will be asked to start emailing photos of their pets; entries will be judged by the board of Help4Wales and the winner will receive a photoshoot of their pet complete with framed image and a goodie bag; runners up will receive pet hampers.

Entries should be emailed to [email protected] by 4pm on Sunday 7th August and should include owner’s name, address and telephone number, along with the pet’s name a brief description of them. The contest is open to animals of all breeds, shapes and sizes living within the Caerphilly county borough.

Jemma Shepherd, Managing Director of Help4Wales, said:

“As well as being in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes, owners and their pets will also be helping us in the delivery of a much needed service for local people. The winner will become the face of a charitable project which is currently under development and one which, hopefully, will help many families.”

Help4Wales Foundation was established in May 2016; it aims to provide holistic support to those in need through working in partnership with other agencies to identify and fill gaps in service provision. Current projects include support for rough sleepers and families fleeing domestic abuse.

Photos of all entries will be uploaded to the organisation’s Facebook page. For more information contact Help4Wales on 01495 366909/ 07932960857 .
