Co-Lab, just off reception

Coworking in Caerphilly, South Wales

Started your own business, or work remotely? Some people love the idea of working from home – but for others, the novelty soon wears off and it can get boring and lonely pretty quickly.

In addition to office space, Welsh ICE offers three coworking spaces: Co-Lab, Co-Lab 2 and the Courtyard Suite. Each of them has their own style and personality, as well as – of course – their own unique group of ICE members inhabiting them. Full-time members have the option to have their own fixed desk, with virtual members being able to pick where to sit on the days they are in. And if you find that you start off in one of the spaces but would rather try out the other space, or would rather have your own office instead (or grow your business to the point where you need one!), then that’s no problem – we’re completely flexible.

Our coworking spaces are intended for entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers who may operate on their own, but need social interaction when they work. Coworking offers a great networking opportunity – after all, you never know who you’ll end up sitting next to and how they might be able to help you to grow your business. In fact, some of our members have collaborated in ways that simply wouldn’t have happened if they hadn’t met each other at ICE (here’s an example from our blog).

Both coworking spaces come equipped with the essentials, beyond just having a desk:

  • Fast WiFi
  • Tea and coffee
  • Lots of plug sockets (for chargers, etc.)
  • Your own landline phone (should you need it)
  • Access to a printer/scanner
  • Access to stationery supplies
  • Your own pigeonhole for post
  • Much, more more…

But we offer more than just a space to work… We offer advice and support to our members – by providing access to mentors and funding – in order to help them to launch and grow the business of their dreams.

Based in Caerphilly, we’re not far from Cardiff – it’s only 20 minutes to the city centre by car or by train, and we’re close to the M4 motorway. We’re entirely commutable from other nearby Welsh towns, including Newport, Cwmbran, Merthyr, Barry, Penarth and everywhere in-between. In fact our members commute into ICE every day from all over South Wales. Why not join them?
