Town Square Spaces has been shortlisted for Startup of the Year and Founder Gareth Jones is up for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards!
The Caerphilly Business Forum Awards are considered one of Wales’s most hotly contested and prestigious business awards. Rewarding success and recognising business excellence within Caerphilly County Borough over the last 12 months, the Awards are open to businesses of all sizes and from all sectors who can compete for one of the coveted titles.
Town Square Spaces aims to nurture and grow start-ups and small businesses by creating accessible workspaces for entrepreneurs, such as their hub in Wrexham.
Gareth Jones, who is also the Founder of Welsh ICE, was delighted to be shortlisted in two categories and said:
“Caerphilly is a great place to do business, as we have seen in the last seven years with the community built at Welsh ICE.
“Since departing ICE we have continued to use Caerphilly as our base to scale up our new company, Town Square, and still deliver our Accelerator and 5 to 9 Club across the borough. Being shortlisted for these awards, which is always an amazing party, is a real honour – as a team we are delighted.”
The Entrepreneur of the Year award will be given to the individual that, in the opinion of the Judges, has demonstrated outstanding and consistent achievement, particularly over the last twelve months, or that shows the greatest promise for the future.
Gareth was previously shortlisted for this award in 2016, alongside fellow ICE member, Cariann Emanuelli, Managing Director of Wize Virtual Admin, who has been shortlisted again this year..
Meanwhile, the Start-up Business of the Year Award aims to celebrate and support Caerphilly’s newest businesses. The judges will be looking for real passion, a strong plan, an innovative product or service and exceptional forecasts for further growth. ICE member Panda Education has also been shortlisted.
This year’s Awards will be held at Llechwen Hall on 23rd November 2018. You can view the full shortlist here.
