Congratulations to Signum Health, Studio Hicks and the Youth Development Agency who have all been shortlisted at the Wales Startup Awards!
The Wales Startup awards is different to many others in Wales. It gets away from the usual black tie approach to business awards and is held in an informal setting at the award-winning Depot in Cardiff, an entrepreneurial start-up business where street food and craft beer from Welsh enterprise is served to those attending. More importantly, it’s an award ceremony that, is exclusively for start-ups only and focuses on celebrating their success across the economy.
Signum Health was shortlisted in the Digital Startup category, the judges will reward new digital businesses that are achieving growth through the right mix of innovation and exceptional customer experience.
Founder of Studio Hicks, Emily Hicks has been shortlisted as Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Finalists in this category have demonstrated ambition, energy, skill and vision, as well as tangible business success, in creating and developing an exceptional start-up during the last three years.
On being shortlisted, Emily said:
“I’m so pleased to be nominated for a Wales StartUp Awards, next to a number of amazing start-up businesses.”
Meanwhile, Youth Development Agency is up for the new Valleys Award, having proved they’ve created a significant impact through innovation and enterprise in the South Wales Valleys. They’re up against ICE alumni from the Help4Wales Foundation, miFuture Group and Drone Evolution.
Fellow ICE alumnus, Letterbox Labs has also been shortlisted in the Retail of the Year category.
The awards will take place Friday 20th September at the DEPOT Cardiff.
Congratulations again, everyone!
