Entrepreneur award season is definitely upon us and we’re incredibly proud to have been shortlisted at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards alongside several of our members!
Founder of ICE, Gareth Jones has been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year alongside Cariann Emanuelli of Wize Virtual Admin and David Wiffen of DW Studio.
Gareth was thrilled to be sharing the category with fellow ICE members and said:
“It’s a real honour to be shortlisted for this award, but most importantly to be shoulder to shoulder with such a great group of people. Whatever happens, we will celebrate together, on what will hopefully be another happy night for the ICE community.”
Following the news that she had been shortlisted as Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Entrepreneur Wales Awards, Cariann was delighted to be named a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category for a second year in a row at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards.
She said:
“It’s always an honour to be shortlisted for an award, but especially so when I can share the night with the amazing entrepreneurs working out of Welsh ICE. I’m proud to be part of the growing business community in Caerphilly and look forward to celebrating on the night with friends and family.”
Director of creative CGI visualisation company, DW Studio, David Wiffen was also pleased to be shortlisted.
He said:
“It’s a great honour to be nominated as a finalist for the CBF Entrepreneur of the Year Award. DW Studio has been a major focus of my life over the last 5 years and it’s fantastic that the hard work and commitment of the entire DW team has been recognised. We look forward to the award ceremony in November!”
ICE alumni Gemma Hallett of miFuture completes the shortlist and said:
“Wow! What a surprise and an honour to be nominated alongside these finalists. Especially the multi award winning team at Welsh ICE.”
Meanwhile, Chief of Operations at ICE, Mandy Weston has been shortlisted in the ‘Women In Business’ category, making this the second award ceremony this year that both Gareth, Mandy and her daughter Cariann have all been shortlisted in.
She said:
“I was very excited when I heard the news this morning. I’ve been a fan of these awards for years and it’s amazing to be recognized locally for my work. As a mature woman, but a fairly young entrepreneur hopefully this can encourage more women to follow their dreams.”
Completing our list is ICE member Service Tracker who have been shortlisted in the Innovation category for the second year in a row.
Since being introduced two years ago, the Innovation award has only been won by ICE members with Blackwood Embedded Solutions winning in its first year and Bomper Studio taking the title last year. Director Mike Palmer-Day said:
“It is an honour to be named as a finalist for the Innovation Award at the CBF Awards 2016. ServiceTracker are very much looking forward to attending this fantastic event and being amongst the other amazing finalists from ICE.”
Congratulations everyone, looks like it’s going to be a good night!
