Amazing news! Welsh ICE has won the Coworking Space of the Year Boost Award at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The award is a new category for 2016 that identifies and celebrates the best places for entrepreneurs and start-ups to launch, grow and thrive. Welsh ICE was the only Welsh coworking space finalist to make the shortlist.

CEO, Gareth Jones was there to pick up the award. He said:

“I’m delighted that we could bring home a prize for the start-up community. Year-on-year our community is growing, gaining shareable knowledge, and building experience that raises expectations for everyone, so long as we can keep riding that wave, we will hopefully see more and more good stories coming out of the Valleys.”

Welsh ICE was featured in a list of the top 100 coworking spaces in the UK which automatically entered us into the awards. The public was then invited to vote for their favourite coworking space which was narrowed down to the eight with the highest votes.

Co-working spaces provide growing businesses with flexible and affordable solutions, networking and support opportunities and probably most importantly ‘energised’ environments.

It’s a huge honour to be recognised on a national level and a great close to an amazing year for us. We’re looking forward to 2017!
