About

We are a national arts charity established in 1992, working across the creative landscape of Wales. We provide a range of opportunities for participatory activities, training and mentoring, using music as a primary tool of engagement. We believe that participation in the arts is essential in creating a cohesive society. Our work keeps the community at its core and encourages the widening of access to the arts and culture.

Community Music Wales is committed to making music participation accessible to everyone in Wales, regardless of gender, age, ability, social background or culture. With over 30 years of experience, we run inclusive music workshops, training and mentoring led by trained tutors, ensuring that our expertise in music delivery and commitment to inclusivity are embedded in every session. We deliver high-quality, impactful music projects that empower communities, support musicians, and foster creative growth. From our Merthyr Tydfil and Gwynedd offices, we partner with diverse organisations to support people facing economic, social, and health challenges. Our dedicated team focus on building music skills, well-being, and community cohesion, while positively impacting local economies through employment, education, and volunteer opportunities.
