Treefish Ltd was founded to make church website management simpler and more effective.

The idea began in 2020, when Heather was creating weekly social media content for her local church while struggling with an outdated, unintuitive website system. Re‑entering the same information across multiple platforms was time‑consuming, and it became clear that a better solution was needed.

As a web developer, Jon explored the possibility of automating the process. He built a system that could take the content already being created for social media and Spotify and seamlessly publish it to a church website. This concept became Churchee, an open source content management system specifically for churches.

Beta testing for Churchee began in 2024, receiving highly positive feedback and confirming its value as a tool that helps churches maintain a high‑quality website with minimal effort.

Treefish Ltd was officially registered in April 2025 to offer a hosted and supported version of the Churchee platform.
