CPE Productions
CPE Productions is an animation production company founded by cartoonist and director Josh Hicks. CPE produces short films – like the BAFTA Cymru-nominated short Spectre of the Bear – and develops longer-form animated projects for television and film.
Since joining Welsh ICE, they have:
- Directed the animated short Spectre of the Bear, starring Bill Nighy and Craig Roberts, which was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2024 BAFTA Cymru Awards.
- Released the graphic novel Hotelitor, with an animated feature in development, and produced a pilot for Glorious Wrestling Alliance with support from Creative Wales.
- Written and illustrated a Minecraft graphic novel for Dark Horse Comics, and begun work on YOU VS., a series of interactive children’s books for Walker Books.
